Stealth Acoustics In-Wall Flat Panel Subwoofer (Pair)

The Stealth Acoustics B1630 in-wall subwoofer panel is a unique solution for putting subwoofer-powered low end into a living space invisibly.  The B1630 is a panel 16" by 30" that mounts directly to the structural framing of the wall replacing the drywall. The panel has an active area that moves and is surrounded by a solid mounting frame. The subwoofer panel is secured to the mounting frame, and the drywall is bonded to the panel to create a seamless transition. Similar in construction to the Stealth 228 Series 2 full range system, the B1630 has a surface on the face of the panel that is designed to be painted with latex based products. Light texture or wallpaper can also be applied.

The B1630 uses two 8" woofers mounted on a baffle built from 1" thick MDF. This acts as the backbone of the system. The baffle is bonded to one side of the mounting frame with the active panel mounted to the opposite side. This creates an air tight chamber. The woofers fire into this chamber, activating the entire face of the panel with the exception of the 1-3/4" mounting border. The mounting area is identified by a dashed line printed on the face of the panel. The active panel is constructed of a three layer combination of materials consisting of two layers of a high quality paper separated by a layer of Styrofoam. This creates a panel that is very light weight yet rigid enough to maintain the integrity of the wall.
